Laid in is a 1949 letter from the Lincoln National Life Foundation by Dr. Warren's secretary explaining that numbers 1, 3, 5, and 6 have been sent in the original but numbers 2 and 4 are photostats as the originals of those numbers "have been completely exhausted." The issues treat of various aspects of Lincoln's ancestry from the family's appearance in 16th century Hingham, England through Thomas "Tad" Lincoln.
