Hiding in Plain Sight: Essays in Criticism and Autobiography. Broadside published by Okeanos Press and distributed at a reading at Black Oak Books by authors Louise Gluck (recipient of 2020 Nobel Prize for literature), Thom Gunn and Robert Hass. One of an unknown number of copies printed, this has been additionally signed by the three authors and is scarce thus. Black Oak Books was a premier location for touring authors and was a fixture in the Berkeley literary scene for 33 years before closing its doors in 2016. Black Oak and Okeanos combined to publish a number of high quality broadsides to commemorate author readings, and they are highly collectible. Size is 8.5" X 14". A fine copy of this interesting piece of ephemera.

London: Faber and Faber, 1959. First Edition of poet's first collection published in the UK. Only 1,000 copies were printed. Includes the title poem plus a selection of poems chosen by Berryman himself. The comparable US edition did not appear until nine years later. Advance review copy with the publisher's slip laid in. A near fine copy in like dust wrapper with a couple of small chips and one small edge tear.

New York: Knopf, 1929. First Edition. Review copy with publisher's slip laid in. About fine with some slight toning in a very good dust wrapper, toned at the spine with a few small edge chips and detached front flap (very well obscured by jacket protector).

London: Faber and Faber, 1957. First UK Edition. Slight spine roll otherwise fine in a fine dust wrapper

New York: Dial Press, 1945. First edition of poet's second book, print run of 2000 copies (ADAMS 2). Penned initials on front free endpaper, otherwise about fine, a tight square copy with sharp corners and slight areas of uneven fading. The scarce and notoriously fragile dust wrapper is present, some pieces missing, torn and split in two along the spine.

New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 1967. First Edition. Advance Review Copy with publisher's slip laid in. Signed by the author in his characteristically illegible hand. Fine in a little yellowed dust wrapper.

Dublin: Peppercanister/Dedalus Press 1997. First edition. One of 250 hardbound copies. Though not called for, this copy has been signed by the author. Slight spine lean, almost inevitable due to the width of the binding in relation to width of text block, otherwise fine in fine dust wrapper.

Faber and Faber London:1950. First edition of Robert Lowell's second trade published book and first published in UK. There was no comparable American issue. A very good copy indeed in orange cloth. One corner little bumped and slightly rubbed, bottom spine slightly rubbed also. Hinge a little weak between pages 32 and 33. Near fine, notoriously fragile purple dust wrapper not price clipped but is a little rubbed; spine a bit toned with two small / one tiny chip at the extremities.

Dublin (Shannon): Cuala Press (Irish University Press), 1970. Facsimile Edition, reprinted using photo-lithography. Fine in very good+ toned dust wrapper, small chip to top spine and 1" tear to rear

Oxford: Oxford at the Clarendon Press, 1964. Later Printing. A fine copy in dust wrapper with little spine toning but is otherwise fine.

Dublin (Shannon): Cuala Press (Irish University Press), 1970. Facsimile Edition, reprinted using photo-lithography. Book lacks the springiness of automatic closure, lying flat between some pages, but no evidence of the binding shows through, front corner bumped with some severity, otherwise a bright copy in fine dust wrapper save for a slight wrinkle and small tear to top of spine.

London: Minerva Press, 1973. Facsimile edition. Like the original 1893 edition, the facsimile is limited to 250 copies. This is copy #244. Decorative green binding designed by Charles Ricketts who also contributed several interior designs. Very small piece missing from front endpaper otherwise fine. Dust wrapper externally smart with a small chip on rear, a 1 cm area of discoloration and little rubbed at the corners. Internally, the rear wrapper has been scotch taped to repair several tears.

New York: Viking, 1966. Signed by the author. The handwriting may be creaky, but at age 80, Marianne Moore retained her sharp sense of humor, creatively adding "Moore Moore" to the half title to read "Tell me Moore, Tell me Moore". Fine in fine dust wrapper.
