The view book is in about very goo condition: generally clean and tight; moderate sunning on covers; foreedge of covers has cloth worn through to boards; photos have a hint of light toning... Baltimore, Maryland: Baltimore Sun, 1939. Original gelatin silver print, printed by Bodine in 1939. This is an original Baltimore Sun file/archive print. Date-stamped November 11, 1939 on the verso. margins trimmed to edge of image. Bodine returned to the Sparrow Point plant a number of times over the years to create some of his most striking images. New York: Students of Columbia University, 1877. Rare Early Issues of Ivy League Newspaper. Two bound volumes containing issues 1 through 35 and 42 through 55 as well as many supplements (issues numbered 36-41 are not present) of the first 4 years of the Columbia College (now "University") student newspaper. The Columbia Spectator is still in operation and is now the second-oldest college daily paper in the country. In addition to the writing of Bates, some sections of the book were written by P. A. Durant, J. Fraise Richard, Bennett Bellman, H. C. Bradsby, Aaron Sheely, and M. A. Leeson. The book is clean and tight, with some foxing limited to margins of only those plates that have tissue guards; the exterior has some rubbing along edges and fading of color on the leather spine.. MENCKEN, who wrote chapters 11 through 18.  The book is in about very good condition: clean and tight, with scattered foxing primarily on pages near beginning and end of book; some color leaching along top of front cover and head & foot of spine.  Nicer than it sounds..
