Blue cloth hardcover with silver titles, in dustjacket, presumed first with no indication of printing. A very good copy in like dustjacket. Minor scuffing along the bottom edge of the front board. A clean, straight and tight copy, as if unread. The jacket is also very good, bright and clean. Unpaginated, bibliography at rear, full color illustrations by Horak including a page with an illustrated map of the race course. A great piece of Minnesota history.

Ohio: Morningside House, Inc., 1991. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Brown cloth hardcover with gilt spine titles in dustjacket, first edition. A very good copy, clean, square and tight. Two bookplates on the front endpapers, otherwise an unmarked copy. The dustjacket is clean and unclipped but with a couple of short tears to the top of the spine panel and light crinkling at the top of the front flap. 347 pp., indexed, some black and white photos. The story of the Second Wisconsin Infantry in their first campaign of the Civil War.

South Dakota: Published by the author, 2011. Paperback. Good +. Oversize trade paperback. Self-published by the authors, no indication of printing. A good+ to very good copy with minor edge-wear and some scuffing to the pictoral covers. Creasing at the bottom front corner of the cover and title page is the book's main flaw. Interior is clean and unmarked, and tight as if unread. 120 pp., filled with black and white, as well as color, photographs. This is the story of constructed town where preserved historic buildings are brought. An unusual form of preservation, and a hard to find title.

Iowa: The Iowa State University Press, 1973. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Cloth hardcover 1st edition in dustjacket. A very good copy with general wear to the board edges and corners - a clean and solid copy. Price erasure to the top of the half-title page seems to be the only marking. The dustjacket is not quite as good, scuffed and lightly soiled with chipping at the spine tips. 141 pp., indexed, photo insert at center. A detailed history of the Homestake Mining Company in Lead, South Dakota - once the largest mining operation in the Western Hemisphere.
