Description:
Herbert Jenkins, London, 1969. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition (ex-library)/Good. Previous owner purchased the book from a library and has blacked out any library stamp, the rear paste down has been glued to the rear end page, and the dust jacket was price clipped, and then re-stickered by the publisher with a new price. The previous owner has also used marking pen to imitate a tint on the bottom edge of the text block, probably to cover over a library stamp. Apart from this damage, the book internally is clean and bright. Illustrated with colour plates, black-and-white photographs, and hand drawn copies of the marks and tools, the book is invaluable in settling the argument on whether one company was naughty, and made their "identification marks" intentionally similar to another company stop no matter that one company was in Wales, and the other in England. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity… Read More
