XI, 150 pp., foreword by Geoffrey N. Christensen, biographical note, editors introduction, some books were further reading, index. Coloured illustrated frontispiece by Elisabeth Cochrane, and the numerous illustrations used within the text are also done by the same illustrator. Green coloured boards with gilt writing on the spine. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Elisabeth Cochrane, with white background with black wrting on the front panel and spine. The previous owner had protected the book with plastic, and unfortunately the sticky tape glued has browned, leaving marks on both fold over flaps, and opposite on the free end pages. Otherwise without damage. A republishing of articles written by the author for children in the early 1960s for a newspaper about the natural plants [and fauna] to be found in and around Victoria.… Read More
