Black embossed decoration and titles to the front book panel and black titles to the backstrip. Brown coloured cloth covered boards. Bumping to the backstrip and rubbing to the book edges. Browning and foxing to the text block edges and there is foxing, browning and offset tanning to the endpapers. Light browning to the internal text. There is a small area of fading/bleaching of the book colour to the top edge of the front panel. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, of Robert the Bruce against a yellow coloured background with brown titles to the front panel and backstrip. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges -- a previous owner has supported these chips with masking tape on the verso of the dustwrapper, tape still in situ.
