The dust jacket is missing the top right-hand corner of the front panel, the lower 25\% of the spine section, and is rubbed, and chipped, and grubby and price clipped. The edges of the text block are darkened with age, and there are traces of foxing, the heel of the back strip is lightly bumped, and shows marking possibly from a water splash, the top right-hand corner of the front board is slightly faded from the absence of the dust jacket at that point, there is offset tanning and foxing of the front end pages, and unidentifiable mark on pages 4 and 5 hidden in the bound edge and a small tear at the bottom of page 9.
