Plain text dust wrapper with black and pink coloured background with white and black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The autobiography of Clare Sheridan the English artist who blazed a trail through the early and middle parts of the 20th century. Here she recalls her so journey in Russia after World War I, her experiences capturing in sculpture such people as diverse as Mahatma Gandhi and her cousin Winston Churchill and of her travels through Italy, Germany and France. Softening to the backstrip edges and to the book corners. Browning and discolouration to the book edges and shelfwear to the lower edges. Heavy browning to the paper edges and occasional foxing spot noted. Offset tanning and browning to the endpapers and pages. Rubbing and chipping to the dust wrapper corners and chipping to both the top and bottom dust wrapper edges. Top edge of dust wrapper is more heavily chipped. Fading to the spine. The back panel has become dull, faded and quite grubby. Marks to the front panel have also occurred. Clipping of the dust wrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. Dust marks to the paper edges along with some light browning. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing to scenes hunting on horses and on the back panel shooting with dogs, with black background and yellow writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is rubbed and somewhat faded. Rubbing and very slight chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the spine. The fold over panels have become quite yellow. his book was first published in 1922 and it follows the most talented of British sporting artists from the 17th century to the late Victorian times.
