Description:
Scribner, New York. Fist Edition proper number line. 1998 NF/VG+ Original pumpkin colored boards. Gilt titles on spine are in immaculate like new condition. Highly collectable in this condition. Book appears unread. Tight, clean, no markings whatsoever. No bookplates, stickers etc. Dust jacket has very light staining to the upper back cover. No staining came through onto the back of book. Looks like a little coffee spilled on the back - interestingly coincides with the artwork on the front and back of the cover with the mystical reflection of the trees on the lake! Character Mike Noonan is a best selling novelist unable to accept the death of his wife 4 years earlier . He re-visits a house named Sarah Laughs to confront the past and present. While there he begins to fall in love with a young widowed woman and her daughter. A gripping novel about love lost and gained that will captivate you until the last page.
