This copy has been newly bound in cloth-covered, oatmeal boards by Mark Anderson of Panther Peak Bindery - bindery sticker back paste-down and also with his card laid-in. A Mark Terry facsimile dust jacket has been added to enhance shelf display.

End papers show a collage of sepia-toned photos from the period when "Futuria Fantasia" made its first appearance. This volume contains Bradbury's first works that were printed in the first volume, four issues, of "Futuria Fantasia" a slim, pseudo-magazine that Bradbury, working with Forrest J. Ackerman and collaborating with artist Hannes Bok (1914 - 1964), edited and published himself. A hundred copies, at 10 cents, of each issue were produced during 1939 and 1940. These are reproduced in exact facsimile here, in the original green ink, with many illustrations by Bok. This is a very nice second printing, identical to the first except for number line beginning with "2", that is priced at a more affordable level than are copies of the true first.

First Thus UK edition limited to 1000 trade copies. Near Fine book has stray, very light 1/4 inch ballpoint line bottom page edges toward front edges, slight bump top of back board and just a touch of mild foxing; in a Near Fine jacket that has several light overwrite impressions. This copy has been signed by Shepard on the title page. This collection has a few different stories, 13 in all, than does the Arkham House edition.
