B&W Illustrations; This book is in Very Good to Near Very Good+ condition and was likely issued without a dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The covers of the book have some light rubbing and wear, especially the spine joints. The endpapers are illustrated with a picture of a championship winner Great Dane drawn by the author, Albert B. Gardner. Inner front hinges have started to split at both top and bottom edges of book. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's name inked neatly on the front pastedown. The book includes cartoon drawings by Walter Lantz (name misspelled on title page) the creator of Woody Woodpecker.
