Single annotation in manuscript pencil on the first page, underlining Ali's birth name, "Cassius Clay," in the script title (Ali abandoned his birth name in 1964, upon entry into the Nation of Islam). Private eye Harry Moseby (Hackman), an ex-pro football player, is a workaholic with an unfaithful wife (Clark). An aging actress hires Harry to find her daughter Delly (Melanie Griffith, her first starring role), a runaway teen who's fled to Florida. Vintage program for a Baltimore City College vs. Baltimore Polytechnic Institute (or what Baltimoreans would call a "City vs. Poly") football game, held at the Baltimore Stadium in 1925. Included with the program is a ticket for the 1943 City vs. Poly game, as well as a small illustrated postcard showing the Polytechnic Institute in north Baltimore. The rivalry between the Baltimore City College football team (City) and the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute football team (Poly) is one of the oldest in American high school football, predated only by the English-Latin rivalry in Boston. The City-Poly rivalry began in 1889, and continues to this day. Program: 8 x 11 inches. Very Good plus, with light wear on the edges. After his story was bought, Brent was made a writer at the studio. [Also the first screenwriter assignment for] Irving Cummings, Jr. and William Conselman, Jr. Both men were "second generation Hollywood," as Cummings' father was a director and Conselman's a screenwriter. "According to Twentieth Century-Fox press releases, the football sequences were shot at the Los Angeles Olympic Stadium and at the Pasadena Rose Bowl.
