Covers a bit foxed, creases to some pages, but sound condition. Makes mentioned include not only Rolls Royce and Ford, but Crossley, Rothwell, Newton Pearce, Bell Bros, Turrell etc.

Liverpool, circ 1971. Oblong booklet of 47 pages, card covers. A bit of rubbing to the corners, but sound condition and certainly one for the Rolt collector.

Manchester, Abel Heywood,1882, first edition, pp.110,(2). Original cloth, a little rubbed, small stain to back cover, front inner hinge cracked, but nevertheless a sound copy.

Manchester, Taylor,Garnett, Evans & Co.,1898, first edition, 8vo,pp.160, folding map and several illustrations. Original cloth, spine ends a bit worn, but good, sound condition.


Rochdale Reminiscences.


Rochdale Times Ltd, 1923, pp. 148, portrait of the author. Original cloth, a couple of names inside, good, sound condition. Henry Brierley was a local solicitor and for many years editor of Lancashire Parish Registers. His memoirs cover church affairs, legal tales, sports and pastines, education, music, politics etc.

Manchester, 1900, pp. 190, well-illustrated. Original cloth gilt, spine faded, front joint a little cracked, else very good condition. The first half of the book is on Co-operation in Middleton, and the second half is a useful history of the town.


David Whitehead & Sons Ltd 1815-1909.


Manchester, 1909, pp. 43, illustrated. A history of this Rawtenstall textile firm. Loosely inserted is a pamphlet on David Whitehead by Marie Ives. Original parchment-backed boards, a little dusty, but good, sound condition.
