Roma: La Libreria dello Stato [ 1931 ], 1931. First Edition. . Hardcover. See Description. Tall 4to. pp. [4], 130, [2] with 10 unnumbered double page color illustrations by Beryl Tumiati. Numerous color illustrations by Tumiati are also present on the numbered leaves. Bound in quarter off-white cloth with illustrated paper boards. The binding contains rubbing and wear to the edges. A couple of areas along the cloth hinges are neatly restored. The title of the book is handwritten across the spine. No dust jacket. Interior pages are generally clean but with occasional light marginal spotting. 5 leaves of hand written notes on pulpy yellowed paper are loosely inserted in the rear. With 2 fold-out illustrations depicting 1.) "Lewis machine gun .30 U.S. Govt. MFG. by Savage Arms Corp. Utica N.Y." and 2.) Colt automatic gun - sectional view model 1914." Numerous black and white photo illustrations and diagrams are also included with the text. Bound in brownish-red cloth with gilt title on the front cover. Extremities show some rubbing, wear and mild corner tip bumping. The upper corner tip on the front cover contains a miniscule restoration. The front cover displays three small areas of scraping. Spine shows a slight fade. Interior pages are generally clean. Bottom corner tips of the first 26 pages are lightly bumped.
