Laid in photocopy of a newspaper article about her newspaper years. Ms. McGonigal was a city councillor and in 1981 became Manitoba's first female Lieutenant Governor. The recipes are pretty typical for the time. Nice and clean inside.

Some damage on pages 10-11, where two pages stuck together and part of "Surprise Salad" is stuck to the facing page. Many vintage illustrations, line drawings in B & W with orange accents.

Hand-drawn illustrations and lettering, easy to read. Pre-microwave, pre-metric, definitely 70s sensibility. Recipes include things like marshmallows, chocolate and sugar, so not for the health food oriented, but there are also recipes for breads, salads, veggies and other nutritious foods. VG overall condition, some reading wear, interior clean. This copy is perfect bound, not spiral or comb bound as some copies are. I don't know if this is an earlier or later edition. It was originally published as "Kindergarten Cooks".
