Very Good- Condition/Poor. Illustrator: P.V.E. Ivory. After he was established as a pulp writer, Seltzer also became an early screenwriter, credited with 15 screenplays for Westerns from 1917 to 1927 and one more in 1936. Size: 7.5"-8" - Small Octavo (Sm. 8vo). 311 pages. Hardcover bound in red cloth over boards with the title on the front cover and spine in black.The text block is slightly shaken. The pages have toned with age. Book Stated "First Printing" of Clark's debut novel, which was the basis of the Academy Award-nominated film of the same name (released in 1943), staring Henry Fonda Size: 8"-9" - Octavo (8vo). 309 pages. Item Type: Book. The text block is tight, unmarked and only slightly toned. However, as is typical for this book, the free front end paper has been cut out and the glue for the front and rear pastedowns has darked and toned the facing pages. Oatmeal cloth over boards with top corners sharp and bottom corners only slightly turned. Spine is age darkened and there is some foxing in the gutters. There are two marks where it appears a cover in which the dust jacket was one held was taped to the front and back covers.
