Dark blue cloth over boards with bright gold title on spine. Corners are bumped and turned; small cut on the right edge of the front cover. Minor wear at corners and top and bottom of spine. Book From a review in the advertisement for the book at the end of the text: "This is, we believe, the first time an attempt has been regularly and systematically made to bring out the actual scripture passages to which Shakespeare has alluded, and, therefore, Mr. Eaton has to be congratulated for the manner in which he has treated such a subject." vii, [9]-226, 6 pp (three leaves) of publisher's advertisements. WorldCat shows only a handful of libraries with early (1858-1861) printings. Only one system, the Union Catalog of Polish Research Libraries, reports having this particular printing, which it dates as 1861. Size: 7.5"-8" - Small Octavo (Sm. 8vo). 226 pages. Item Type: Book.
