The bright dust jacket shows color cartoons of the characters such as Sarah BRown, Miss Adelaide, Nathan Detroit, Harry the Horse, and Big Julie.

This is follow up to One Day at Beetle Rock in the same format, but concerning a day at a marsh near the Tetons, dealing with the lives of an otter, trout, osprey, mosquito, mink, hare, duck, moose, leech, and snail, along with mentions of other creatures of the marsh. A flap of the DJ is enclosed. Although technically ex-library, the book was in a small retirement-community library and not circulated much. There are library stamps on the endpapers and title page.
