The text is bilingual with English on the right hand side pages (verso) and French on the left hand side pages (recto). Profusely illustrated with colour photographs. The introductory section (up to page 30) is a general history of the diocese itself and then follows descriptions (2 pages each, English/French) of each parish in the diocese. The back board is scuffed and rubbed though otherwise the book appears to have been used very little if at all. .

Published by the parish to commemorate the centennial of the parish. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs. Seven pages of parish lists and indices at the back followed by 37 pages of period advertising by the various sponsors and local businesses. The gilt on the front is quite dulled and the bottom fore corners of the boards are mildly bumped, otherwise clean with a sound binding. .

Full colour glossy covers. One leaf (pages 153/154) has been bound a tad off and the lower edge of that leaf is proud on the text block tail edge, otherwise just a wee bit of scuffing to the covers. .

Published on the occasion of the centennial year of the Parish of St. James the Less. Illustrated with black and white photographs. Four lists of associated religious at the back. Library markings are a stamp and note on the title page, attachment remains on the inside of the back cover and the blank verso of the last page. The title has been hand written on the front and back cover next to the spine fold. The covers show mild shelf wear and the cover margins are quite tanned or darkened. Some minor soiling on the fore edge magins of a few pages that does not affect any text. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted. The shipping cost for this small item will be reduced when ordered. .

Antoine Bugeaud OMI. A history of the Marian pilgrimage site at Cap-de-la-Madeleine which is on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River where the Saint Maurice River enters the St. Lawrence halfway between Montréal and Québec City. It is now part of the city of Trois Rivieres. Signed by the author on the first (title) page. Illustrated with many black and white photographs. Hardcover. 4to - 27 x 20 cm.; 352 pp. Green cloth with a faux leather finish, gilt lettering on the lower spine and the front board along with a gilt cross and parish seal on the front board also. Full colour photographic end papers with the Stations of the Cross on the front ones and stained glass windows on the back ones. Published on the occassion of both the 100th anniversary of Catholicism in Brandon and the 60th anniversary of the CWL. The work on this book was begun by Fr. Healey in 1977 and completed by O'Sullivan some 4 years later. Printed two columns per page and profusely illustrated with black and white archival photographs and reproductions. There are 11 pages with underlining, single names or places, often the same, underlined in green pen and neatly done. In most cases there are several (10 to 15) names or places underlined, on 1 or 2 pages it is much less. Otherwise the book is quite clean with a sound binding and showing only very minor wear to the fore corners of the boards and the spine tips. Included also and loosely laid in is the original mimeographed order form for the book and a newspaper review clipping of the book from a local paper. .

Profusely illustrated with many colour photographs along with reproductions of archival material. Mild wear to the cover edges and the spine has a reading crease. The paper used is a high quality coated stock. .

Subtitled: "An historical study of the founding of a church and of its development over a period of forty-five years". Illustrated with 2 maps, one a general one of Manitoba on the inside of the front cover and a more detailed one of the Gimli District on the inside of the back cover. The church began as a summer chapel, then became a mission chapel and finally a parish church as the population and need increased. Two pages of footnotes at the back. The previous owner, a chaplain at the RCAF staion in Sumerside, PEI, has stamped his name in several places, 11 in all, within the book but all on blank pages or margins. Otherwise the book shows very mild wear to the externals with a sound binding. .

I did notice one page with a line underklined in pencil though for the life of me, I can't find again. ('Tis there though - somewhere.) Otherwise clean with a sound binding. .

Two appendices, a 3 page bibliography and a 9 page index. The book was published to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the arrival of Fr. Constantine Scollen OMI and the founding of his first mission on the Elbow River. Previous owner's name blacked out on the copyright page (the verso of the title page). Otherwise the book is clean with a tight binding and showing only mild wear to the board corners and spine tips. The dust jacket is worn on the head edge with most of that to the spine crown and shows mild soiling and a scuffed back panel. .
