Ottawa, Ontario / Grand Rapids, Michigan.: Published for A.H. & S. J. Jarvis of Ottawa by James Bayne of Grand Rapids.. Very Good. Soft Cover. 12mo - 17.5 x 22.5 cm. (oblong); Unpaginated with 80 pages. Blue wraps with gilt lettering and a coloured side bar on the front. No date of publication is given but known to be the early 1900's (1903 to ~1913). Decorative blue string binding next to the glued spine as issued and the covers have a 3 mm yap on all open edges. Seventy-six of the pages are photographic plates with captions. One of the pages is a 2 page panoramic fold-out. The first 4 pages are the title page, the publisher's statement and a 2 page introduction. The paper used is a high quality coated stock. The yapped edges are creased (fold lines over the text block) and show some minor chipping. The lettering and the gilt borders in the central part of the front in the head margin are faded or sunned. Otherwise, a clean interior and a solid binding. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted. .

The archival photographs are from 1897 and were taken by J. C. Smith while the modern photography is by Jack Powell. All photographs are black and white and the entire text and all photographs are printed on a high quality coated paper. Minor wear and light soiling to the covers, else fine. Ridgetown is a farming community located in the southeast corner of Chatham-Kent county about half way between Windsor and London and just south of the Highway 401 corridor. It was incorporated as a village in 1875. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted. .

Printed in a 2 column per page format with many archival black and white photographs and 16 maps with the maps being indexed on page ix. A comprehensive six page index printed 3 columns per page at the back. The history of the Temiskaming and Northern Ontario Railway (T&NO) originally chartered to link Lake Nipissing with Lake Temiskaming and how it expanded to areas further north as the mineral resources of Northern Ontario were discovered. The name was officially changed to Ontario Northland in 1946. Minor wear to the spine tips, else clean with a sound binding. The dust jacket has minor edge wear with the exception of a tape repaired (on the inside) closed tear in the lower front panel. .

The term "collar" refers to the idea of work, specifically fishing, and denotes the time between May and October and includes the prep time and the "puttin' away" time. Hardcover. 4to - 28 x 21.5 cm.; x - 150 pp. Dark (very dark) blue cloth with a faux leather finish over boards with gilt lettering on the spine and the front board. Printed 2 columns per page and profusely illustrated with many black and white photographs along with some reproductions of archival documents. East Luther Township amalgamted with the village of Grand Valley in 1995 to form the town of Grand Valley though the name was not changed until 2012. Grand Valley is located in Dufferin County just west of Orangeville. Previous owner's name and gift note on the front free end paper. The book shows only a trace of wear to the heel of the spine. The dust jacket has minor edge wear and that mostly to the spine tips along with a 3 cm closed tear in the tail edge of the back panel. It should be noted that the reverse side of the jacket (the interior) has a family tree chart printed on it. (This one has never been used.) .

Well illustrated with many archival photographs and document reproductions. Previous owner's name and gift note on the front free end paper. Other than that, the book shows minimal wear and is clean with a tight binding. The dust jacket is worn a tad on the spine crown, the fore corners of the boards and the head edge of the back panel. .
