Brown lettering on spine, brown lettering and red engravings on front and back covers. Foreword by l'Abbe Albert Tessier. Illustrtaed with several full page black and white photographs printed on a coated paper stock. The interior is very clean with many of the pages yet unopened on the head and fore edges. The yapped overhang of the covers is quite chipped and the front cover is soiled on the fore edge margin. A clear and removable archival cover has been fitted. .

In the early 1800's Charles Roy makes the decision to become an Anglican, and the family tree becomes French Protestant. Andrew grows up in the rectory of Holy Trinity Church in Lévis, where his father is the clergyman. After the RCAF, he goes into teaching and eventually returns to Québec City to work in English Protestant Education at the Provincial level. Two appendices, List of Acts passed by Diefenbaker's government from 1957 to 1963 and the Declaration of Loyality of November 15 of 1966. Seven page general index. The book shows very mild shelf wear to the spine tips and the text block fore edge has some small stains on the lower one-quarter of it. Otherwis eclean and tight. The dust jacket has edge wear to the spine tips and one 2 cm closed tear in the back head edge. .

Illustrated end papers in both and twelve pages of illustrations (photographs and reproductions) in each volume. The spines of both are a tad darkened. Otherwise they are very clean with solid and tight bindings. Both dust jackets are unclipped and that for volume 2 has mild wear to the spine tips. As with the books, the spines are a tad darkened. The publisher's slip case is present (a simple green affair with no markings) and it is worn on the edges and corners with small splits beginning at the open end. .
