Top edge of text block stained brown. Account of the 1925 attempt to reach the North Pole by a team led by Amundsen and Lincoln Ellsworth using two Dornier Do J flying boats. No marks in book, binding tight. In the colorful dust jacket showing one of the planes on the ice and flying the Norwegian flag, with team members in the foreground clearing ice to prepare a runway. Dust jacket shows edge wear, one inch chip at top of spine with partial loss of the author's name, bookseller stamp on rear panel. Text in Norwegian. Book condition VG+ in VG- DJ. Uncommon with dust jacket. No indication of previous printings.
