Covers moderately soiled, contents have occasional thumb print in some margins but mostly quite clean, owner's name neatly written on upper front. Full-page color illustrations by Albert Kaye and A.E. Kennedy.

Kobenhavn: Jespersen Og Pios, 1930. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Kurt Wiese. 202pp. Text in Danish. Half leather, 5 raised bands, gilt lettering to spine, top edges gilt. In text black and white illustrations by Kurt Wiese, foreward by John Galsworthy. Moderate wear to covers, owner's name and date on front free endpaper, text is clean.

New York: Orange Judd Company, 1881. Hardcover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 110pp. Blue bevelled cloth boards, gilt and balck lettering and decoration. Light wear to spine ends and corners, cracking at endpapers but text block is holding, ex-library label and notation on pastedowns, text is age-toned and clean.

Chambersburg: Thomas J. Wright, 1833. Hardcover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 388pp. Full calf, red leather spine label. Covers rubbed and scuffed, contents are heavily tanned and foxed, but the text is unmarked and the text block is still bound tightly, some pencilled notations on endpapers. This is evidently a pirated edition, as we could find no reference to this title, which refers to "Animals" rather than "Animated Nature.

Philadelphia: John E. Potter, 1864. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 384pp. Brown stamped cloth, spine lettering and decorations in gilt. Chipping to spine ends and corners, light insecting to joints, contents are age-toned and occasionally foxed, binding is tight, newspaper clippings pinned to rear endpaper, owner's name in pencil on front endpaper, title page corner chipped. Numerous engraved illustrations.

Philade;phia: J.B. Lippincott & Co., 1857. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 288pp. Brown embossed boards, gilt spine lettering, engraved frontispiece plus 5 additional illustrations. Cover is soiled and heavily worn, spine faded but legible. Contents are stained and toned, and ocasionally foxed, some foredges nicked, bottom of frontispiece torn off with no loss of content. A previous owner has pasted a newspaper article and wrtten notes and remedies on endpapers. Despite these defects, the book is icomplete, and very readable.

New York: Printed by William S. Dorr, 1843. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. 162pp. FIRST EDITION,1843. Green embossed cloth, gilt lettering. Light soil and wear, text is moderately foxed, 1/2 inch hole in front free endpaper, former ownership pencilled on endpapers, text is intact and binding is solid.

New York: The Macmillan Company, 1936. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Edwina. 38pp. SIGNED. Red cloth, gilt lettering to cover and spine. Corners rubbed, spine sunned. Endpapers stained from binder's glue, contents age-toned. The author has inscribed the front free endpaper : "with those sharp bows and a long wow -----Burges Johnson". Charming doggerel and illustrations about dogs.
