Front cover art by Douglas Bruce Berry, an American comic book artist perhaps best known as the inker for several Jack Kirby comics. First issue, of a total of four published of this zine. Alien Culture was, as described by Jim Leary, "An amateur publication for fans of the field of fantastic literature inclusive of fantasy, science-fiction and weird fiction." This issue with an essay on author vs. critic by August Derleth, as well as fiction by other authors, etc. Original mailing envelope present. FAIR/GOOD condition. Last two leaves detached from the staples, possibly not attached at all, based on appearance. General toning. Minor chipping and creasing along the edges.

Minor to moderate uneven scuffing and fading, with minor creasing to the wraps. Three small abrasions to the rear cover. Small tear at the center front fore edge, affecting the fore edge margins of the pages in the interior. Some soiling, heavier to the rear panel, with some dark scuffing present.
