Clean covers and spine have uneven fading and spotting; light rubbing wear at cover fore corners and at spine ends; foxing on end papers and some interior leaves; gift inscription from father to son dated 'Dec. 25. 1832'; split to bands at frontis/title page hinge; title page has 1 inch chip at top fore corner affecting last letter of title;1st gathering lightly attached; 2nd gathering loose and laid in; clean interior. Metal-engarved frontispiece credited to Illman & Pilbrow; title page has wood-engraved floral design; 3 other wood-engraved illustration interior. The only author attribution is to Mrs. [Amelia] Opie for the last entry 'The Blow Forgiven'. 32mo (5.25 x 4.5 inches). Paged 4, [1], 4-128 [with pp 17-18 repeated - i.e. 130 p].
