No dustwrapper, some bumping to spine ends and corners of red boards, binding split inside front and back covers resulting in the text block being almost detatched, but otherwise a not too bad copy, with black titles on front board still clear, od this small hard-cover book. Originally published in 1899, this is a later, "New and Cheaper" edition from 1907. Contains around eighty patterns for kniting or crocheting articles using Pearsall's knitting silks (now no longer available, but there are apparently fly-tying silks which are similar). Includes patterns for ladies' stockings (the old-fashioned type that comes just above the knee), gent's socks, ties, items for babies, gent's waistcoats, and other items such as egg cosies, gent's braces, and silk purses (no sow's ears needed!). Pages not numbered but about 100pp, b&w drawings throughout.. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
