Originally published in 1920, the story involves a round-the-World race by Airships, including a British one (the ''Golden Hind'' of the title) and a WW1 Zeppelin crewed by the beastly Huns (!). Illustration on front board shows a boy being lifted by rope, presumably by the airship; spine illustration shows a front view of a steamship. 256pp, b&w frontispiece.. Hard Cover. Originally published in 2009, this is a reprint from 2011. Deals with the efforts made by the Royal Naval Air Service to destroy German Zeppelins on the ground at their bases in Germany. These included the first flights from aircraft carriers. Signed by the author to original owner on title page "For .... with kind salaams and very best wishes, Ian Gardiner, December 2013". 163pp, 16pp b&w illustrations, 3 maps.. Signed by Author.
