The Executioners

By MacDonald, John D.

New York: Simon & Schuster, 1958. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Very good or better in a like jacket. The dust jacket has a rubbed out spot at the front top right corner, perhaps where a price sticker was removed , and the spine is slightly faded. There is rubbing to the head and tail of the jacket spine, as well as to the top rear panel. There is a bookstore (Paul Elders, San Francisco) sticker on the rear pastedown, and some difficult to eliminate pencil marks on the front end paper. This volume has black paper covered boards, one of two variants of the First Edition, with no priority established (Smiley, Firsts, 2002).

Soft Touch

By MacDonald, John D.

Great Britain: Robert Hale, 1960. A First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Very good in a very good dust jacket. The jacket is price clipped and slightly soiled, with tiny chips at jacket creases, the most noticeable of which is a one quarter inch chip across the length of the top of the spine, not affecting the title however . The book has a small bookstore (The Phoenix Bookstore, Brisbane) sticker on front pastedown, and all edges are slightly soiled. This is a very attractive copy of this early MacDonald novel.
