New York: Random House, 1944. Leather Bound. Near Fine . Krendel and Chappell. Complete and unabridged, with notes and glossary and illustrations by Fritz Krendel and Warren Chappell. this collection is housed in a cardboard slip box which is in fine ondition as well as the books themselves. There is a ring stain present on top of the slip box which had no effect on the books within. The books are wrapped in green leather with a raised stamp on each cover, and the spine reflects a red line down the center with the title and author on each book. The gilt surrounding this red column has mostly rubbed off - without effect to the spine or the remainder of the print. The books themselves are in fine condition, with zero markings, underlining or notes noted. Due to the slip box, the pages remain white without yellowing noted. This copy is wrapped in brown cloth and covered with an illistrated dust jacket which is reflective of wear. Personal note written in pen inside front cover. Following exam of ths book, there is no further indication of writing, marking or highlighting noted. This copy would be a welcomed addition to any collection.

This is a very tight and clean copy ready for it's next student who is new to the Odyssey; or perhaps a reread this time with no pressure or expectations!

Kingsport TN: JH Sears and Company, 1923. Hardcover with cloth wrap. Good . This 1923 edition is in nice condition, as it is wrapped in red cloth, with top and bottom cap wear on the spine as well as bumping noted on the corners. The cover and spine writing has rubbed off, though the imprits are visable. This 246 page edition has begun to yellow, though following exam no markings of any type were noted.

New York: Charles Scribner, 1901. First edition. Original Hardcover cloth. Very Good + . W Appleton Clark. This lovely copy and first edition of the Ruling Passion is in very good condition, as expected for a copy that is 115 years young! The book is covered with deep forest green cloth, as the cover and spine have intricate design and print - all in gold gilt. The branches with pine cones look as fresh as the day printed - in addition to the pine cones on the spine that are in neat rows. Some wear noted on edges and spine caps, though inspection shows no markings, writing or underlining within the covers. Page 13 was torn and is presently repaired with fasteners. This one flaw, as well as some binding wear to an otherwise beautiful copy would be a wonderful addition to your library!

Minimal bumping of the edges is noted, as the gold gilt on the spine is intact and bright. Ownner's name is written on the interior cover page, as there are not further markings noted upon exam of the book. Yellowing is minimal, as the paper itself appears to have a yellow hue. 217 pages.

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1911. Hardcover with cloth wrap. various. Beautiful copy of the 553 page edition set by Charles Scribner's Sons in 1911. A hardcover wrapped in green cloth includes gold gilt publisher's symbol on the cover and gold gilt for the lettering on the spine as well. Bumping of the corners is almost nonexistent, yet some turning of the caps on the spine. The overall spine is in very tight order, as the book itself is very clean and tight. Lightly read - if even that. Upon exam there are no markings of note. Volume has numerous illustrations from various artists.
