Shaw's sequel to his bestselling "Rich Man, Poor Man," continuing the story of the younger Jordach generation in both Europe and America. The Franklin Library's Limited Edition, issued in dark blue full leather, gilt decoration and lettering on the spine and covers, three raised bands on the spine. 441 pages on archival-grade paper, all text edges gilded, blue moire silk pastedowns and blue silk bookmark sewn-in. With illustrations by Mark Bellerose, this edition contains a "Special Message" from the author to the Library's First Edition Society. A pair of almost unnoticeable indents on the spine and a single scratch on the upper half of the text's foredge, o/w boards and text of this limited edition are clean and unmarked, tight and square, no tears, no chipping or creasing. Collectable.

This is the Franklin Library Limited Edition in black full leather with gilt decoration and lettering on the spine and both covers, with three raised bands on the spine, green moire silk pastedowns and a matching ribbon bookmark sewn-in. 491 pages on archival-quality paper; all text edges gilded. Illustrated by Mark Bellerose, and containing a "Special Message" by the author to the reader. Perhaps a bit of soiling on text edges, o/w clean and unmarked, tight and square. Very collectable.

Illustrated by Alan Reingold, with a preface by Emily's older sister, Charlotte, writing under the pen name, Currer Bell. Three tiny flecks of gilt, spattered during the gold-stamping process, are almost unnoticeable but can be found on the green cloth of the front cover, o/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, with a tight, square binding.
