A collection of autobiographical stories, each of which is a snapshot of a turning point in the life of the author, from early childhood incidents of anti-Semitism, to his earl embrace of and late rejection of the goals of Nazi ideology. This is the first edition of the 2013 edition, originally published in Germany in 1962. Translation by Isabel Fargo Cole. 5" X 8-1/2", 257 pages. Black boards with the title and author name imprinted on the spine in gold. Boards are flat, binding is tight and square. Bottom right corner is bumped with a crease mark. Top right corner of the text is slightly bumped with a light crease mark to the top right corner of pages 3 to 125, crease is at most 1/4" diagonal, diminishing in size with later pages. Edges of the text block are clean. No former ownership marks. No writing on the text pages. Not a library discard, not a remainder. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.

The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. The original price of $2.50 is printed on the bottom corner of the front flap. The jacket has a couple of large chips at the top front edge, smaller chip at the bottom left front corner, and small chips on the back panel as well. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Bright green cloth covered cover boards, with the author and title imprinted on the spine and front cover.
