Bound in red buckram with an intricate gilt design on front covers, gilt to the top edge of the text block. Volume I includes fifteen black & white plate illustrations, Volume II includes thirteen black & white plate illustrations. The illustrations include drawings by R.F Zogbaum and C. Harry Eaton, engravings by S.P Davis, and E.C. Held, as well as engravings based on photos from 'Hunting Trips of a Ranch Hand' by Theodore Roosevelt. Each illustration is faced with a somewhat translucent tissue page, each tissue is intact. Each text page is bordered with a woodcut design. 6-3/8" X 8-7/8", 390 pages for each volume.
