Gold-stamped titles. Filled with calligraphic penmanship autographs (1865): Classmates of Edward P. Cramm of Deerfield Centre, New Hampshire. Eastman Business College was in Poughkeepsie NY. Founded in 1859 by Harvey G. Eastman (autograph included here), and was for a time one of the largest commercial schools in America. After the Civil War in 1868, EBC and its affiliate, the New York Business Institute stated in its catalogue. "These schools do not receive students from the Negro Race". The college closed in 1931 (Wikipedia). That site lists "notable alumni". Mr. Cramm was not listed. The numerous signatures seem to be competing for the fanciest style.

The Pine Warbler, he writes, is about 5.5 inches long, smaller than a sparrow, and when Audubon observed it out of its pine habitat in tall grass, he first mistook it for a new species he had not earlier seen. Portsmouth, N. H: Peter E. Randall Publisher, for The Washington Meetinghouse Bicentennial.., 1989. Trade paperback. Very good. No dust jacket as issued. Minor cover wear; soil to title page at top & inside front cover.. 0 xii, 116p. Grayscale frontispiece, duplicated as cover graphic in brown ink. Titles green on glossy light green paper covers. Numerous historuic B&W photos, plus document facsimiles, endpapers with names. Foreword by James L Garvin, State of New Hampshire Architectural Historian. Considered a "post card" village, Washington, NH, between Newport and Keene in the southwestern quadrant, has at its center a well-planned small complex of white wooden buildings. Its seasonal residents for many years have far outnumbered those who winter there. All sectors have helped to preserve the practical measures taken by the village's earliest citizens. The title comes from an 1820 document urging an expense for Meetinghouse repairs, anticipated cost about $400.
