Description:
London :: Souvenir Press,, 1973.. First Printing of the First UK Edition.. A Near Fine copy with previous owner name on flyleaf in a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with laminate separation to the extremities. When Borges visited Harvard University in 1967-1968 he created a great and genuine excitement especially with one undergraduate--Richard Burgin. Burgin met Borges and told him he was going to write a book about him and asked if he could pose a few questions. Borges gladly agreed and within fifteen minutes they were discussing "Faulkner, Whitman, Melville, Kafka, Henry James, Dostoevsky and Schopenhauer." The result of Bugin's conversations with Borges reside in these pages and provide a fascinating insight into what lies behind Borges's literary genius.
