Sadly, the cut-out airplane parts for an American Airlines 707 Astrojet are gone. The illustrated covers are bright, with light with just a bit of light wear to the front panel, and some rubbing to the back. The attached scans give a better idea of condition.

The pages are crisp and clean, showing some darkening of the paper, but few signs of wear. The illustrated cover is bright, with just a bit of wear to corners and spine. The dust jacket is only in good condition, with two nicks of missing paper on the front panel, the larger of which has removed the T in Gretel. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover.

The interior is crisp and clean, showing no marks or wear. The covers are fresh, with minor wear. A very nice copy. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition. The spine label that looks dark grey in the attached scan is actually shiny gold.

The stories seem to be reprints of Little Golden Book titles published previously in the US. The book contains: Rumpelstiltsin, By the Brothers Grimm, Illustrated by William J. Dugan; The princess and the pea, By Hans Christian Andersen, Illustrated by William J. Dugan; and Puss in Boots, Retold by Kathryn Jackson; Illustrated by J. P. Miller. The interior of the book is clean, showing light wear and a previous owner's name on the verso of the free front end paper. The pictorial covers show moderate edgewear and rubbing to all edges, and some fading to the blue cloth spine. The overall impression is of a gently shabby, but still respectable copy.

Synopsis: This is a large-format (10 ½ x 7 ½ inches) compendium of 25 stories illustrated by Gergely. Most were originally published as Little Golden Books (American), or as Golden Pleasure Books (British) between 1943 and 1967.
