London: Collins. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 10 x 7.75. The interior of the book is clean and crisp, with the name of a former owner on the front free end paper, and the remnants of a sticker on the rear free end paper. The paper has tanned slightly. The pictorial covers are clean and fresh, showing just a bit of wear and bumping to the corners and top and bottom of the spine. The DJ is not price-clipped, but has overall edgewear, a triangle of missing paper from the bottom of the front panel, and an old mended tear going almost into the middle of the front panel. The DJ is now in a plastic cover, and because the damage hasn't caused a lot of colour loss, looks just fine. There is no indication of the publishing date. The artwork for the DJ and pictorial cover are by Yvonne Perrin. The first story is "The onion man", by Jane Shaw.

Description:
Toronto: T. Eaton Co.. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. The stated publisher is Eaton's, but this is obviously a reprint of a popular British annual though I've no idea of which one. The interior of the book is in very decent condition, with clean pages and occasional signs of previous wear. The fourteen colour plates are present. The illustrated covers, however, show significant edgewear, and the spine is heavily worn, discoloured, and has a 2.5 inch split at the bottom left hinge. Overall, a shabby copy of an interesting Eaton's item. The authors include Ethel Talbot, Katharine Tynan, Jessie Leckie Herbertson, and Katharine L. Oldmeadow.
