The paper has darkened, and the is one mark -- a numeric notation on the title page which should be visible in the second of the attached scans. The gilt spine lettering has dulled, but the black cloth covers are in very good condition, with light wear. A tidy copy of this story about hunting in the Atlas Mountains of Algeria

The illustrated covers are fresh, again with no wear. The slip case (box) is also in excellent condition. The image beside this entry is of the front cover of the book. Please feel free to ask for a scan of the slip case, or book spine. Note: Kingsley's "Travels" was first published in 1897. The Folio Society published an abridged version in 1976. This new edition uses the same text, but has a new binding and is illustrated by period photos.
