"After-School Snacks -- that won't dull dinner-time appetites," a 1920s brochure by Happy Wonder Bakers (progenitors of WONDER BREAD), with fantastic period photographs and several recipes for peanut butter and jelly type sandwiches "so easy to make children can help themselves" - lovely period photos of smiling children - could this be the origin of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich? In all, this is an interesting early 20th century comfort food advertising piece. Emerson on York Road in Parma Heights (Cleveland) Ohio. Pamphlet has creasing and corner folds, back cover marks, but overall good esp for its age.
