The Sensory Evaluation of Wine preceeds Amerine & Roessler's eventual expansion to a book by the same title published by University of California Press in 1976. Laid in are 3 circulars, a Price List, a List of Extracts, and Instructions for Water Seal; 1 Order Sheet; 1 Business Card; 1 printed return envelope; 1 sample of a generic wine label. The sheets were folded again to fit in printed yellow Milan Laboratory mailing envelope. All items fine and unused except for normal fold lines. Yellow mailing envelope torn at open end, slightly soiled with postal stamps, date stamps [1965], etc. Includes photo illustrations of Fruit Crushers, Fruit Presses; drawings and photos of corks, funnels, cork screws, bung starters, etc. Back cover with photo of the book, Winemaking at Home by Homer Hardwick. Cover photo of wine chemists at work in the lab appears to have been taken c. 1945. Perhaps things didn't change much in home wine making from '45 to '65, save the prices. .
