n/a: n/a 1860s. Large 8vo. Unpaginated. Brown velvet with embossed wooden floral pattern to boards; decorated endpapers, all edges gilt. A few slight marks to boards. Some scattered spotting. A notebook used to hand-write in various extracts from poetry and prose, including much French verse, as well as flowers pressings and a couple of pencil drawings; some pages are ruled without writing, and the latter half of the book is blank and unused. Gifted to Mary Pemberton by her sister Emily. A beautifully bound treasure trove of someone's favourite poetry in charming handwriting, and still very useable as a notebook. Binding 26.5 cms tall. .
