Some darkening and moderate soiling to boards with a little foxing to opening pages and split to bottom portion of upper panel hinge, but binding still nice and firm. Rubbed in places, but still a very good example.

First edition, later printing with 'Author of 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' to title page (Frederick Warne & Co, 1903). 16mo, original dark grey boards with circular squirrel motif to upper cover, rebacked with later spine in black paper, hinges repaired and endpapers relaid, a little internal soiling and external rubbing, in black custom-made clamshell box.
