It is described briefly in the introduction of Volume 1 under "Prior Discoveries" with the reference that his private journals, delivered to Governor Hunter at the end of the voyage and subsequently published by Colonel Collins, give a much more detailed description of the trip. However, this short journey was in fact the very beginning of colonisation and future tourism to the area which would become known today as South-East Queensland. To those who enjoy life on Bribie Island, Matthew Flinders' main exploration base at this time, it is indeed a very special tale."
