With zine - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", [14] pp, photomechanically reproduced on rectos only and stapled once at the upper left hand corner, with information on each band. Industrial and avant-garde comp featuring Savage Republic, Schlafengarten, HAters, Sleepless Knights, Dreamhouse, The Psychological Warfare Brank, Theatre of Ice, Smersh, Girls on Fire, F/i, Chris Gross, Abstact Belief, and Youth Hostel. Great comp. Casette visually nm, spot play tested and plays fine. Insert vg++ with a touch of the usual fading. Snapcase scuffed. Zine fine. Scarce with the zine.

Austin: Austin Vanguard, 1977. 4to, tabloid format, single sheet of newsprint folded once; offset printed in two colors. The first and only issue of one of the first, if not the first, punk fanzine published in the state of Texas. No attribution is given, but the zine is believed to be the work of Nick West, who would go on to edit Sluggo, one of the greatest art zines of the late 70's. The phrase "Someday All the Adults Will Die" emblazoned on the cover summed up many of the beautiful contradictions of early American punk. folded once, with some minor toning else fine.

San Francisco: Blank Expression, 1986. 4to, [8] pp. [incl. covers], saddle-stapled. Unnumbered issue of this San Francisco fanzine, featuring interviews with Flying Color and General Public, and reviews of a Savage Republic show in LA, etc. OCLC locates no holdings. Minor creasing to tips else fine.

Amsterdam: NBTA, 1983. 4to, unpaginated, side-stapled wraps. Printed in black and white, with two color covers to the second number. Profusely illustrated. Text in Dutch. The first two issues, of only three published, of this anarchist zine issued by the NBTA, the Dutch union that was against compulsory labor. The union was started by the infamous squatter and anarchist Bo Baden, who would later become famous for jumping up on a table during a debate over cruise missiles in the House of Representatives. The group was disbanded in 1996. Rare. OCLC locates only one holding, of the second number, at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. That record suggests that there was a 3rd number, though we've not seen it and OCLC locates no holdings. The periodical preceded the later periodical by the group entitled Luis Duider.

Versailles, PA: McCheese Enterprises, 1974. First edition. 4to, photo-mechanically reproduced and side-stapled. Addressed by hand and postmarked on back cover. Debut issue of the proto-punk music fanzine devoted to late 1960's rock music. This issue takes a rather indepth dive into the history of Ultimate Spinach, some on Autosalvage.... "Fine debut here, with feature coverage of Ultimate Spinach (yeah , really!) Autosalvage and other late '60s trivia." - Greg Shaw, in BOMP 13. Some light overall creasing. Very good.

San Francisco, 1985. three leaves, photo-mechanically reproduced on rectos only and stapled once at the upper left hand corner. Anonymous zine out of the Bay Area mid-1980's milieu written by an anonymous writer who describes herself as a female "from a Catholic family of 15." Attacks misconceptions about AIDS, abortion, use of condoms, and the iconography of the American flag. Fine.

France: Sordide Sentimental, 1992. First edition. Catalog No. SS MCD 004. Mini CD in card folder, tipped into a large folding color poster also housing a leaflet with release info. One of a limited numbered edition of 1000 copies, this being copy no. 73. CD is NM. Card slip shows some soiling (as issued?). Poster and leaflet near fine. The original plastic bag still has the label sticker in gold affixed, and is very good with some creasing and cloudiness.

Willamantic, CT: De-Evolutionary Times, 1981. 4to, [25] pp, photo-mechanically reproduced. Side-stapled. A remarkable early 80's connection between the poetry and post-punk zine scenes, this little known post punk fanzine edited by the poets George Butterick, and Ed Kaplan. A fascinating zine, dense and text heavy with no illustrations other than the front and back covers. As well as ton of record reviews, this issue also features in depth interview wtih the Buzzcocks and Athletico Spizz. Staples a bit oxidized, back cover with a long vertical tear separating it from the lower two staples, but still holding to upper staple. Good only, but scarce - we didn't know that this zine even existed until ten minutes ago. OCLC locates holding at only two institutions.

Warrington, PA: Die, Evan Dando, Die Magazine, 1994. 8vo, saddle-stapled wraps. With a prospectus for the zine laid in. One of about 200 copies printed. . A rare first printing, mailed to a fellow fanzine editor, of one of the 90's zines that brought mainstream attention to the zine scene - for better or worse. Die, Evan Dando, Die was the brainchild of Jeff Fox, who had made the great parody zine Maximum Rock n' Raoul. As covered in Entertainment Weekly and other mainstream venues, Fox made only 200 copies of the zine initially, but after a deluge of fan mail and death threats and coverage in all sorts of magazines he made another 800 copies and distributed them nationally, at Tower Records and other venues. Second issue of the Science Fiction fanzine out of Memphis, of 3 issues published. The zine would be followed by Ptah. This issue notable for including the article "The Negro in Science Fiction", by Dr. John Beifuss, as well as fiction, poetry, and artwork by the editors and Tom Foster, Mary Ann Banker, Pamela Caruthers, John Williamson et al. Very good with some minor toning and some unnecessary cellotape reinforcement at spine.

Madrid: Laboratorio Informal de Actividades Diversas, 1984. 8vo, [40] pp. incl. covers, saddle-stapled wraps. Fourth issue of this avant-garde zine out of Madrid. With contributions from Inma Marcos, Xavier Sabater, Rosa Heredia, Elisenda S. Bernal, Cristina Caballero, and Akoduras. Near fine with some minor toning to extremities.

Amsterdam: Hack-Tic, 1989. 8vo, each issue saddle-stapled in wraps. With 2 posters. 23 issues in 15 fascicules [of 16 published]. A nearly complete run, lacking only the last double number, of the first hacker zine published in Amsterdam. It includes the very rare first number, distributed in an edition of about 50 copies. The zine was inspired by the 1988 visit of several members of Hamburg's Chaos Computer Club to the Paradiso in Amsterdam. The first issue was published early in 1989, and that year Gonggrijp, Caroline Nevejan and Patrice Riemans hosted the Galactic Hacker Party at the Paradiso. Hack-tic continued until 1993, when it hosted the Hacking at the End of the Universe happening. For four years and 25 numbers, the zine became one of the most influential hacking zines in Europe. np: Signal, 1984. First edition. 4to, 5 sheets printed on both recto and verso on coated paper stock and housed in a printed folder. Catalog No. SV004. Artists' publication issued in conjunction with the rare cassette on signal (cassette sadly not included here). With sheets dedicated to the Legendary Pink Dots, La Fondation, and Section 25, and also texts by J.P. Turmel, Bataille, Baudelaire et al. The Section 25 sheet also has a discography and videography. Bent, creased, and nicked at upper margins, else about very good.

Hanover, Germany: Klarschlamm, 1986. First edition. One of 500 numbered copies. 4to, 32 pp. incl. covers, photo-mechanically reproduced on various colors of paper stock. Text entirely in German. Seventh issue of the German punk fanzine, featuring great layout, typography and some original photography of German gigs. With a section of artwork by Paul Spencer, and pieces on The Swans, Dead Kennedys, English scene report (in German) by Jeff Threat, a photo page with snapshots of Public Enemy, Smarties et al. Very good.

Van Nuys, CA: Kulture Krash, 1989. 4to, saddle-stapled wraps. Addressed and mailed, with "SAMPLE" stamp to mailing portion. The debut catalog for the distro focusing on independently released music, from A Produce to Scratch Acid. Descriptions of most releases and a couple special features, a remarkable document of independent music at the end of the 1980's. Very good.

France: Association Théatre Accidental, 1983. 4to, 20 pp. including covers, saddle-stapled wraps. Illustrated with drawings, comics and photographs. One of 500 copies. Text in French. Superb French avant-garde music fanzine with lots of great graphic art and comics, which was related to the Antenne accidentelle show on Radio-Tele Chatenay. This issue features a fantastic interview with Jeffrey Lee Pierce of the Gun Club (in French) which we've never seen before, 2 pages of fanzine reviews, the comic strip Xudule Annee O by Drederic & guillaume Libert, Videomania, and more. Jacksonville, IL: Bob Tucker, 1975. 8vo, 24 pp, saddle-stapled wraps. A great issue of the longrunning science fiction fanzine, which began publication in 1938. This issue is dedicated to Jackie Franke, who contributes the cover drawing and one internal illustration. It describes the editors trip to Australia NASFic. Laid in is a prospectus for the 28th Annual Midwestcon. Very good with some creasing to the wraps.
