Both volumes have wear to extremities, especially at corners and edges of spine, scuffs on rear board of Vol. II, some scratches on gilded text block edges, Vol I has foxing on frontispiece and a bookseller sticker for Philip and Solomon's Metropolitan Book Store of Washington D.C. on front pastedown.
