The front pastedown has library rules pl ate. There is an old card pocket on the rear pastedown page. The bindi ng is soiled and somewhat dull. The gold spine lettering is faded. Sma ll tear to front inner hinge. One page (189-190) has shaken loose and is chipped along the blank margins. No text lost. Tear at the upper ri ght corner of the front fly. A fairly sturdy copy of the uncommon biog raphy. .
