McLoughlin Brothers, 1937 First edition. Heavy paper wraps. Oblong, 11" x 17 1/2". Obvious wear as can be seen in my photo, still complete. Cover loose at upper and lower spine but holding with about 5" connected at center. Creasing, a few scratches, edge tears, light soiling, 3/4" x 1 1/4" piece out rear wrapper, small dollop of white paint upper front edge. Amy Hogeboom cover and interior color illustrations. A Durable Book 404.

New York: Dodd, Mead and Co. 1939. Binding loosening at front, can see webbing, ffep and colored frontispiece loose at bottom, holding at top, all else secure. A little pencil scribbling found on one page. No DJ. Several blue tinted illustrations by Herbert Paus. 182 pp.

New York, New York: Macmillan, 1953. First edition. 1st printing (stated). Binding tight, pages unmarked and white. Small stain outer edge. Red boards scuffed, stained and worn a little top and bottom edges. DJ has 3/4"x1/2" piece out rear wrap near head of spine, also apparent insect chews here and there. Indianapolis, IN: Bobbs-Merrill. 1901 copyright, no other printing info. Ca. 1920. Red cloth with yellow, black and green W. W. Denslow pictorial paste-on to front, lightly scuffed. Cloth at spine/backstrip loose and sunned, held on by two pieces transparent tape top and bottom. Small stain top edge of most pages. "In" Merryland on spine, "Of" Merryland on front. Binding shaken at front. No markings. Great green black and white Denslow illustrations throughout, on many pages. 226 pp.

Paper worn off spine in front. Moderate edgewear to red/orange boards. Color illustrated pastedowns. Looks like ffep (illustrated on recto to match pastedown) has been removed, a child's pencil scribbles on a few pages including some illustrated ones.

Springfield, MA: McLoughlin Bros., 1956. GOOD/GOOD. Former owner stamps first (illustrated) page otherwise excellent interior, off white pages with no issues. Binding tight. Tears head and heel of spine (hence only GOOD), corners rubbed, else minor edge wear. Color pictorial boards in matching jacket. DJ chipped and torn (see picture). Color and black/white interior illustrations. Part of the Westfield Classics for young readers series. Unpaginated.

Green cloth at the spine. "Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans, Rose Place, Globe Road, London, E." on 53rd (unnumbered) page. 16 mo, 6 1/2" x 4 1/4". 52 numbered pp. Charming illustrations by Victorian artist Kate Greenaway.

All the moveables or pop-ups appear to be in good condition except one page with Santa's rear end has piece of wire taped back with thin strip of old style (discolored) tape, hence G+, else VG. Unpaginated.

Clean and unmarked with only light wear at wrapper extremities, interior is excellent with absolutely no issues including all five working POP-UPs in tip top condition. A little flaring to wraps. Interior is FINE, wraps VG++. Illustrations and Pop-Ups by Marion Guild. 19 unnumbered pages.

Bump to rear board corner, minor rubbing/edgewear, some fading to illustrated paper covered boards. Sunned spine rubbed at ends (a little more at heel). Removable transparent dust cover. Front and rear illustrated endpapers and pastedowns different. Charmingly illustrated throughout by Janet Laura Scott in color, several full page, one double page featuring an insect band, moths, butterflies, fireflies, a cricket, frogs and beetles. One of the Volland "Nature Children Books". Lovely book, unpaginated.
