The hardback retains its black cloth with only minuscule bumps at the top corners and ~1 mm bump on the upper back edge. The text is intact with no writing or folds and with the expected overall uniform light yellowing of the paper. The dust jacket retains it's $2.75 price. There are chips along the edges with no lost of lettering. It features a photo of a scene from the original production with Henry Fonda as Lieutenant Greenwald cross-examining Lloyd Nolan as Lieutenant Commander Philip Francis Queeg. A real treasure. The play has been produced also for TV in the 50's and then again by Robert Altman in the 80's.
