Random House, 1987. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 1987 Random House First Edition is in VG+/VG+ condition. The HB looks like new except for 3mm from the top of the first three page were pulled by the inside inner front cover, probably by faulty glue. Otherwise this is an unmarked, tight, seemingly unread copy. The DJ is intact and not price-clipped. This play is the third in the autobiographical trilogy, beginning with Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues. It debuted on Broadway in 1986, directed by Gene Saks, and starring Linda Lavin, Jonathan Silverman, Jason Alexander and Phyllis Newman. It was later filmed for TV by Paul Bogart in 1992 and starred Jonathan Silverman, as well as Anne Bancroft, Hume Cronyn, Jerry Orbach, and Michele Lee. (The copyright page also states in an almost Vonnegut-like understatement that there was "One previous Delta edition"). The paperback is in good condition with folds and sticker residues on the back and front cover and curved page corners, but no marks or signatures on any page.

One year later the duo was succeeded by Lou Jacobi and Jack Gilford. Adapted for film; 1) Directed by Herbert Ross in 1975 with Walter Matthau and George Burns (Oscar for Best Supporting Actor), 2) TV movie with Woody Allen and Peter Falk.
