The pamphlets covering the individual (watt-hour meters, care of storage batteries, knob and tube wiring, flexible conduit wiring) topics are laid in twixt string gathered boards held un place by cord and open at the spine. The examination questions from the texts seem to be in place, but, the answer sheets removed, neatly, presumably for submission to the school. The books have a huge number of illustrations, fotos, drawings, and many gatefold illustrations of wiring diagrams. Text has age darkening, foxing in places due to age and the use of newsprint in rendering the gatefolds. Wash D.C.: War Dept et al, 1935. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Very Good-/No Jacket. An unusual 4 volume study prepared for WD, Corps of Eng, by Consulting Geologist Hodge. They were clearly in a firms library at one point (the pockets glues have warped the front 'boards') though they are unmarked with the company name. One plate was not caught in binding and is loose but present. In general, the 4 flexibly covered large format paperbacks (complete set) are holding quite nicely with mild, age appropriate wear. The removable of the tape left scars on the pastedowns. Book is straight and decent with a sound binding and clean text. Many photographs and illustrations are present. NY: McGraw-Hill, 1972. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. There are 2 Richmonds who wrote under this title. This one is Allan Edwin who wrote as A.E. the other is Edward A. Both initially wrote before isbn. Their books are utterly confused, seemingly, on-line. This is the 2nd printing of the A.E.s calculus book that was eventually reprinted, under the same title, as isbn #007052355x. Being 1972 this one should have an isbn, it does not. In leafing thru several dozen pages I saw one tiny, light, pencilled note. NY: Wiley, 1972. Later Printing . Hardcover. Good+/Good. Not newish at all, notable bumping, clean boards, wholly unmarked text. Binding sound, text bright. Oddly a page in the subject index has a stickered over area at its upper extremity, perhaps in an effort to repair a small missing upper text edge. In any case the text itself is unaffected and the sticker has been partially removed. From the cover "A handbook of practical data, techniques, and references." The jacket has edge wear, short tears and abrasion, in new mylar wrapper, will look OK.

This listing is for the above hardcover (balance of title "18 antique designs for the woodworker") and 2 oversize trade paperbacks on the same subject. They are sold as a group at the listed price with one-book priced domestic media mail shipping. This one has label over name 1st pastedown. All the books are decent, no major usage issues. The trade pbs are Daniele's "How To Build 35 Great Clocks" and Kadar's " Clockmaking For The Woodworker." Good+/No Jacket. 4 Volumes, done in the semi-stiff leather covers of the era, all edges red stained.Owner name penned at head of each title page. Customary mild wear but overall astonishingly sound, the one exception being the blueprint section of volume one where the many gatefolds newsprint side has transferred to the adjacent pages, darkening them notably, and causing some minor gapping at gutters where the thickness of the pages has affected the tightness of the gather. This seems to be a deftly comic instructional for entry level Fortran. Publishing data: Cover says 1st and last ed. by MIT. Copyright page says 4th pr. 1979. The author's grip on edition/ printing may have been less than firm, but I suspect this is reliable information.
